Carlo is council member on the Amsterdam City Council, representing his party 'Green Left' (GroenLinks). In his spare time, he sings, acts, and serves as chair on the board of 3 theatre groups.

Carlo has a strong urge to stand up for justice & equality and always speaks out for human rights. As a strong ally to the communities the Rainbow Salute Foundation is serving, Carlo did not hesitate a second upon hearing about the initiative, and pledged his support and abilities to the success of the Rainbow Salute Foundation.
