Celebrating LGBTQIA+ & HIV/Aids Activists
The ‘Rainbow Salute Initiative’ (RSI) celebrates and honours LGBTIAQ+ activists and HIV/AIDS activists from countries where the societal and/or political environment is against those communities.
The RSI achieves its purpose by, but not limited to, organizing activities that celebrate activists in person, while ensuring their safety at all times.
The ‘Rainbow Salute Foundation‘ (RSF) is the legal entity behind the initiative. Based in the Netherlands, it is officially recognising it as a non-profit, general public benefiting organisation.
Why the rainbow salute foundation
There are quite some organisations working to fund and support initiatives in the field of HIV/Aids awareness and LGBTQIA+ emancipation. But we should never forget that there are many volunteers, who sometimes even put their lives at risk to get those projects from the ground.
The Rainbow Salute Foundation wants to put a spotlight on so many activists, who often have to do their work in the dark. Let them know that they’re seen. Appreciated. Celebrated. Honoured.
