A Grateful Reflection
The Rainbow Salute Foundation looks back on our 2025 fundraising campaign with a full heart and enormous gratitude.
What began as a hopeful goal turned into a moving show of solidarity from supporters, local businesses, and friends of the foundation.
Thanks to the generosity of so many—and in particular the unwavering support from Bar Prik and Hemelse Modder—we raised a total of €9,000 to fund initiatives that directly support activists working under pressure, in isolation, or in danger.
Your presence, your support, and your belief in the mission made this possible. We are truly grateful.
What These Funds Will Support
🌈 Rainbow Salute Boat – 2025
We’ll bring international activists to proudly sail with us on the Rainbow Salute boat during Amsterdam Pride.
For many, it will be their first time being publicly celebrated, embraced, and seen for who they are.
🧠 Online Health Coaching Programme
Launching in July, this 3-month online programme will provide tailored coaching, tools, and support for more than 20 LGBTQIA+ and HIV/AIDS activists working in high-stress environments around the world.
💬 Online Platform for Activists
We are developing a secure online space where global activists can connect, share experiences, and support one another—without fear of surveillance, censorship, or digital repression.
The Salute Lunch – May 18 @ Hemelse Modder
🍽️ Total Raised: €2,000 (Lunch) + €5,000 (Hybrid Auction)
On May 18, Hemelse Modder opened their heart and kitchen to host an unforgettable fundraising lunch.
With a beautiful three-course meal and wine, guests shared an afternoon of purpose and connection.
The atmosphere was electric as our hybrid auction reached its finale—bidding that had started online came to a dramatic and joyful close in the dining room, raising an astounding €5,000.
We’re immensely thankful to Hemelse Modder for offering not just their venue and food, but their spirit and solidarity. This event simply wouldn’t have been possible without them.
The Rainbow Bash – April 13 @ Bar Prik
🎉 Total Raised: €2,030
Our fundraiser kicked off with an afternoon of queer joy at the iconic Bar Prik in Amsterdam.
Hosted by the fierce and fabulous Marvelous Marvy, and featuring the unmatched bingo energy of Coby van Dam, the Bash brought laughter, community, and purpose together.
DJ Jakko ter Borg kept the crowd moving well throughout the afternoon, and every drink raised funds for our work—thanks to Bar Prik’s decision to donate their proceeds to the foundation.
We’re incredibly proud of what was achieved here, and deeply grateful to Bar Prik for being such generous allies and hosts.
